Admittedly, I don’t get to paint anywhere near as much as I use to, and most days at home are spent with my little person. If the weather is good and we’re both looking for some much needed entertainment, we get out our painting smocks and pots and hit the easel! We always like to paint on each others paper and often it’s this combination that creates work I would never have created before. A young persons approach to painting is very free and liberating, and it is this quality an artist strives to achieve in order get brush to paper to begin work. Working with my daughter has been frustrating at times but most often it’s that very compromise that makes the painting successful. Plus it’s incredible to see these little imaginations develop!
